Remember Japan?

February 18, 2011

Yeah, do you?

Good. Here’s a nice update:

After a hectic 4 months in a project; of spending everyday in the office; just to get my module finished and working, I was finally transferred into another group that promises no overtime. Though I still had to do some OT in the new group, but that’s beside the point. My point being is that a couple of weeks after I was transferred to my current group, my previous group, get this: my previous group went on a business trip to Japan.

A business trip to Japan.

I’ll say it again and to add emphasis: A business trip to Japan.

I was shocked and I couldn’t accept it at first. I wanted to retain my indifference, but I. Just. Couldn’t. Do. It.

I thought, “Okay, so You denied me my US Visa twice, and then now I miss my chance to go to Japan by a couple of weeks, should I just stop dreaming about Australia too?” I blamed God.

Faithful as I am, I do get to complain sometimes. But I do know that blaming God won’t really get me anywhere. It’ll just make me more confused and spoiled. So I guess, I just had to let some hot air out. I’d imagine He would reply, “Were you there when I created you? Should you know the very purpose of your creation, can you start questioning Me.” Or something like that.

I moved on. “O nga no? In the greater scheme of things, this is just another experience for the books.” Painful as it was, I embraced it, and I wanted to grow from it. What I learned though is that Japan might not really be for me. “Might”, coz I’m still hoping. 😛

Bahala ka, Ama. Gugustohin ko pa rin. Hahaha!
