What’s In A Name?

June 13, 2008

Aba ewan! Tumingala lang ako sa langit at biglang pumasok sa isip kong: “What’s in a name?” Char, english pa naman no? Hinde. Somewhat concise to think that it’s more of a general view of people, it hits marks.

Eto ang breakdown sa pangalan ko:

Unang una, ang first name ko: Andrew.

  • Although the name Andrew creates the urge to be reliable and responsible, we emphasize that it causes procrastination, lack of confidence, and the inability to realize your goals and ambitions.
  • The name of Andrew has made you serious-minded, responsible, and stable.
  • You love the security of a home and family, you are fond of children, and, as a parent you would be fair and understanding.
  • Although you have good business judgment, you are not aggressive in your dealings because you do not like to create issues.
  • You would be successful in any position dealing with the public as you have a diplomatic and tactful manner and possess a charming, easy-going nature which puts people at ease.
Comment: Uy charming daw ako! Ito naman eh.
  • People are drawn to you because they feel that you are patient, kind, understanding, and responsive.
Comment: Uhh.. I’m not sure here. My friends! What do you think?

2nd name: Nicolo

  • Although the name Nicolo creates the urge to be self-expressive and generous, we emphasize that it causes restless intensity that defies relaxation.
  • Your name of Nicolo has made you versatile and creative.
  • There is hardly anything you cannot do if you put your mind to it, but a driving urge leads you to one experience after another, seldom finishing what you start.
  • You cannot find peace of mind or lasting contentment in anything you do.
  • As soon as a challenge is met, boredom sets in, and you yearn for another experience.
  • This restlessness makes it difficult for you to assume responsibility and to establish stable, progressive conditions in your life.

At ang nickname ko: Randy

  • Although the name Randy creates the urge to be a leader and organizer, we stress that it causes a materialistic approach that frustrates higher humanitarian qualities.
  • The first name of Randy creates a shrewd, aggressive, business nature, intent on personal gain.
  • The desires for independence and financial success have been strong motivating forces from early in your life.
  • You are capable of logical and analytical thinking along practical business lines, and could excel in financial fields, law, or politics.
  • Your judgment is seldom swayed through your feelings.

I find it interesting, actually. The approach of the analysis is more on how the society would see a person with the names. More of a “stereotyping” approach; when people meet a person with that sort of name, they start thinking what type that person is. And that person would tend to follow to the flow of the society. And actually, if you think about it, analyzers like this are oftentimes etched into our minds that we try to follow that kind of behavior that they suggest. Don’t you think that… that… Teka lang ha *wipes nosebleed*
